For a while I have thought about how cool it would be to start a sports blog, I love writing and in the past I often used it as an outlet. What I love even more is sports, and when I say love it, it is on a whole different level than many other girls out there. I can tell you what a 4-3 Defense is, the difference between a Flag and Post route and why the west coast offense does not work with a crappy offensive line. (which evidently Pat Shurmur doesnt even understand) I can tell you what a balk is and what players pulled off a 6-4-3 double play, I know when a team is running a 2-1-2 zone defense and how to break it. All that being said sports are a passion of mine, not a hobby or something my husband drags me to or makes me watch on TV. I have used Facebook notes in the past to rant, rave and state opinions on big games or breaking news and the layout of it all is just weak! I wanted a place that others can come too and know exactly what I think about a certain topic and comment, without having to say it over and over on my wall. So here it is...Just a Girl and Her Sports Blog...ENJOY!!!

Welcome Home, Urban Meyer!!!
What night to reveal this new blog deal than the the night when OSU announces the new football coach! Friends on my Facebook know that I have been hoping, praying and wishing this day would come ever since rumors started swirling in October. I believe Coach Meyer is exactly what this Buckeye Program needs to get back to their winning ways. I believe Braxton will fit his offense perfectly and will run the Spread with the greatest of ease! The recruits he will bring to this great state will be second to none, and is what this program needs after a year of black clouds looming over our heads. I love being a BUCKEYE and am excited to see where Urban Meyer will lead this great Football program!!!!
“I am honored and humbled by the opportunity to return to Ohio State. This University and the State of Ohio have enormous meaning to me. My duty is to ensure that Ohio State’s football program reflects and enhances the academic mission of the institution. I am part of it, I believe in it, and I will live it." - Urban Meyer
